Aqua Fitness & Adult Swim/Exercise

We now offer a variety of different classes and session types to try and accommodate for all participants.  Whether you are looking for something fast paced or something more relaxed and soothing we’ll have a class for you.

Aqua Fitness – Ideal class for all fitness levels to help build muscle endurance and strength. Low impact and great for weight loss!

Aqua Dance –  Similar to Aqua Fitness but with a slight emphasis on some fun dance moves, very popular class!

Aqua Pilates –  A new form of exercise that is fast becoming very popular. These simple, but effective workouts really do strengthen your core and allow you to be at your best in your daily life. Taking these exercises into the water increases their effectiveness and will have a  huge effect on your workout.

Adult Swim/Exercise – Come and enjoy the pool for some lap swimming or your own gentle exercise, totally up to you.  Maximum of 6 per session.

Hydro Relaxation –  Hydrotherapy pools are the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxation session. This relaxation class incorporates, breath work, balance, buoyancy, stretching, floatation, hydrostatic pressure/movement accompanied with guided meditation. Experience Hydro activity in a different way offering techniques to assist with stress that may be held in body, mind and soul.

Who is aqua fitness for?  –  Suitable for all fitness levels, from beginners to people with high fitness levels.  No swimming skills are necessary.  Water confidence is developed through regular participation.

Benefits of aqua fitness
Aqua  classes are a great way to mix up a traditional gym workout with the wondrous benefits of water. It only takes a few aqua fitness sessions and you’ll see a big difference in your overall fitness.  Also know as water aerobics, typical classes will involve all the exercises you would expect in a ‘dry’ class. But there are added bonuses when you exercise in water.

  • Improvement in lung capacity and endurance
  • Relief on supporting muscular system for injuries and musculoskeletal conditions
  • Short recovery periods
  • Decreased gravity which decreases joint loading
  • Currents in the water massage the skin promoting circulation and relaxation
  • Core muscles are strengthened as participants learn to stabilize their bodies against turbulence
  • Working out in water helps build strength. Fighting against the push of the water activates your muscles
  • Water pressure helps put less strain on the heart by moving blood around the body
  • And… it’s fun! It is not often you can say that about a workout.

CLASS CANCELLATIONS  –  As our class sizes are limited we require a minimum 12 hours notice if you wish to cancel your booking to receive a full refund or class reschedule.  For Adult swim the cancellation is 6 hours as these sessions are only limited to a max of 6 people.

Aqua Fitness Pricing:  Individual Class $19.50,    Individual Class w/concession $17.50,    10 x Class Package $170 ($17 per class)

Adult Swim/Exercise:  $12.50 per session

CONCESSION:  If you hold a concession/pension card please enter AQUA21 into the coupon code box to receive discount on individual class bookings.  Please show card on arrival to class.  Please note this does not apply to the Adult Swim sessions.
